Monkey as a Police Officer in Thailand

Thailand is known by a plenty of cases of close cooperation of humans and animals. We already know that elephants are one of the most popular animals there but I would never expect to see a monkey to be police officer.

It sounds unbelievable but it is very true, this monkey’s name is Santisuk and he became a police officer.

It was found with broken arm by one policeman who decided to take care about him. After healing the injury monkey was trained to pick coconuts. His task as a police officer is “to improve relations with the community”.
